What they’re saying about
the Jack Allen Complex

“I’ve played and coached at facilities across the country. None are as nice as this! Plus, it's nice to have motivated players and the Jack Allen Complex did this for me."
– Clint Browne, Head Coach, Men’s Soccer, Christian Brothers University

“The Jack Allen Soccer Complex is simply one of the best in the country. It is a first class facility and there is no question that college coaches would enjoy the opportunity to recruit at any event held in such a wonderful complex.”
– Steve Holeman, Women's Soccer Head Coach, University of Mississippi

"This complex is a spectacular set-up for soccer. The City of Decatur didn't spare a penny in the design and development of this complex. Everything is state of the art and there's not a team that wouldn't be thrilled to play on these fields. The number of dedicated maintenance people and the exceptional drainage abilities make these fields great year-round with almost no concern about field closings. Our state association has used this for numerous ODP functions and we have also had tremendous event support from the City of Decatur, which has catering to the needs of the event and the traveling teams!"
– Scott Spencer, Director of Coaching, Alabama Youth Soccer Association

"Having this complex in Decatur is a great thing. Each year it's going to get bigger and bigger until the national team is playing in Decatur instead of Birmingham – and that could happen. A lot of great people are working on this, and if people buy in, it's going to get bigger and bigger."
– Gerry Cleary, Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Martin Methodist College

The Soccer Jewel of the Tennessee Valley

The Jack Allen Complex has 11 international size soccer pitches laid with certified Sports Turf, laser-graded and kept lush and green through a computerized irrigation system with internal draining. The centerpieces of this state-of-the-art soccer facility are two 3000-seat Championship Fields and the entire complex is kept bright at night with a television-quality lighting system recognized to be the best in the Southeastern U.S. for a youth soccer tournament complex.

In April of 2006, the Jack Allen Complex hosted a friendly between the Mexico Women’s National Team and Duke University. A standing room only crowd saw the Lady Blue Devils best the Tricolores 1-0.

After the match, both teams were full of praise for the Jack Allen Complex's playing surfaces.

"We have played on every continent and these fields are equal to any I have ever seen," said Mexican Women's National Team coach and FIFA instructor, Leo Cuellar. "The Jack Allen Soccer Complex is really one of the greatest soccer facilities in the world and it was very surprising to find a complex with not just one superb field, but all the fields are equally impressive!"
